Marina Yiasemidou
Marina Yiasemidou is a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at The Royal London Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust, London, UK, and an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London. She is the colorectal cancer MDT lead for The Royal London Hospital. Her subspecialist interests include colorectal cancer, pelvic floor, and abdominal wall reconstruction.
Miss Yiasemidou serves on the Research Committee of the European Association for Endoscopic Surgery (EAES), is the Director of Audit for the Association of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland (ALSGBI), and is a member of the EAES/Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) joint sustainability working group.
She is an Associate Editorial Board Member for BJS and BJS Open, and serves as an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Surgery and Scientific Reports. Marina has published widely with research interests encompassing surgical education, sustainable healthcare practices, and assessment and optimisation of clinical outcomes in colorectal surgery.
