Rosie is an ST7 General Surgery registrar based in Severn Deanery. She has developed a keen interest in abdominal wall surgery throughout her training, most recently being involved in setting up the new AWR service at her trust. Her interests include education and leadership with experience on the Moynihan Committee (ASGBI) as Education Lead and then Vice-President and has previously been appointed Lead of the Regional Training Committee in the South West deanery. She has also taken on an educational role on the GOLD committee, a National Surgical Programme recently introduced to standardise the surgical teaching offered across the country. This experience throughout her training  has given her insight into the challenges facing surgical trainees and a passion to improve educational opportunities for trainees on a national level.
