Sam Ong
Sam is a ST4 General Surgery registrar based in Wales with a growing interest in abdominal wall reconstruction and hernia surgery. He has actively involved in regional teaching programmes, hernia study days, and published on incisional hernia repair. He is also focused on standardising pre-operative pathways for elective hernia surgery.
His enthusiasm for education and collaboration has led him to help develop a centralised list of training courses and resources for surgical trainees across deaneries. He is keen to contribute to the British Hernia Society’s efforts to improve access to high-quality hernia training and promote engagement among junior surgeons.
