Sanjoy Basu
Sanjoy Basu is a Consultant Upper GI, Laparoscopic , Bariatric and AWR Surgeon for the East Kent University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust based at the William Harvey Hospital, Ashford.He has extensive experience in complex abdominal and hiatal reconstructions and laparoscopic surgery and works as a faculty for AWR, basic and advanced laparoscopic surgery courses for the Royal College in the UK and abroad.He is a member of the British Hernia Society subcommittee for Abdominal Wall Reconstruction. He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer, GKT School of Medical Education, King’s College London and heads the teaching program in surgery, WHH, East Kent University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for St George’s School of Medicine, London and Kent and Medway School of Medicine, CanterburyHis research interests are in the areas of hiatal and abdominal wall reconstruction and gets invited for guest lectures in these areas. He has multiple presentations at the national and international meetings and has over 100 publications in peer reviewed journals.
