Sue Blackwell
Sue Blackwell was the first patient to receive a research grant from Bowel Research UK for the PAPooSE study looking at patient experiences of pregnancy following stoma formation. Her research interests are PROMS, parastomal hernia, IBD and emergency surgery. She is Co-Chief Investigator on the PROPHER Study, an international cohort study looking at PROMS after parastomal hernia treatment. She is currently a Post Graduate Researcher at the University of Birmingham and is undertaking a PhD on Parastomal hernia and shared decision making.
Sue is the PPI rep on the European Society of Coloproctology Research Committee and the Cohort Studies Committee, and a member of the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland EDI Committee.
